Description
A delightful combination of crispy bacon and tender Brussels sprouts, making it a fantastic addition to any meal.
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound bacon, cut into small pieces
- 2 dozen Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until crispy.
- Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease, leaving the grease in the pan.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet and stir to coat them in the bacon grease.
- Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to medium-low, cooking for about 5 minutes.
- Add the crispy bacon back into the pan with the Brussels sprouts.
- Continue cooking uncovered until the Brussels sprouts are tender and browned to your liking, adjusting the lid as necessary.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
Notes
Choose fresh Brussels sprouts and avoid overcrowding the pan for the best results. Cooking in a cast iron skillet enhances the flavor.
