Description

A quick, nutritious, and satisfying breakfast that combines rolled oats, ripe bananas, and brown sugar for a creamy morning treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 4 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 34 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 bananas)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups milk or non-dairy alternative


Instructions

  1. Peel and mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, brown sugar, mashed bananas, cinnamon, salt, and milk. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully integrated.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes (preferably overnight).
  4. Before serving, give the mixture a good stir and add desired toppings.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of brown sugar. Overnight oats can be customized with different toppings and flavors.
