Description

Bread Cutlets are a delicious and quick snack made from leftover bread and packed with flavor. These crispy cutlets are perfect for family gatherings or a quick snack.


Ingredients

  • 7 slices Bread (wheat bread)
  • 1 teaspoon Oil + more for deep frying
  • 1 teaspoon Fennel Seeds
  • 1 medium Onion (peeled & chopped very finely)
  • 1 Green Chilli (chopped finely)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 medium Carrot (grated)
  • 3 Beans (chopped very finely)
  • 1/4 cup Cabbage (chopped very finely)
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add fennel seeds, and sauté for a minute.
  2. Add onions and chillies, and cook until light golden.
  3. Stir in ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add all the chopped veggies and salt; cook until the veggies are soft.
  5. Mix in the spice powders and combine well.
  6. Dip the bread slices in water and squeeze them, then crumble them into a bowl.
  7. Incorporate the vegetable mix into the crumbled bread and mix thoroughly.
  8. Take small portions from the mixture and shape them into balls, flattening them slightly.
  9. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  10. Drain and serve with ketchup.

Notes

Make sure the veggies are chopped very finely. Adjust the spice levels according to your taste. You can add boiled potatoes for extra flavor.
