Description
Bread Cutlets are a delicious and quick snack made from leftover bread and packed with flavor. These crispy cutlets are perfect for family gatherings or a quick snack.
Ingredients
- 7 slices Bread (wheat bread)
- 1 teaspoon Oil + more for deep frying
- 1 teaspoon Fennel Seeds
- 1 medium Onion (peeled & chopped very finely)
- 1 Green Chilli (chopped finely)
- 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 medium Carrot (grated)
- 3 Beans (chopped very finely)
- 1/4 cup Cabbage (chopped very finely)
- 1 teaspoon Chilli Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 2 teaspoons Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan, add fennel seeds, and sauté for a minute.
- Add onions and chillies, and cook until light golden.
- Stir in ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add all the chopped veggies and salt; cook until the veggies are soft.
- Mix in the spice powders and combine well.
- Dip the bread slices in water and squeeze them, then crumble them into a bowl.
- Incorporate the vegetable mix into the crumbled bread and mix thoroughly.
- Take small portions from the mixture and shape them into balls, flattening them slightly.
- Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- Drain and serve with ketchup.
Notes
Make sure the veggies are chopped very finely. Adjust the spice levels according to your taste. You can add boiled potatoes for extra flavor.
