Description
A delightful breakfast casserole that combines fluffy biscuits, savory sausage, and creamy gravy, perfect for feeding a crowd or meal prep.
Ingredients
- 1 tube of refrigerated biscuits (8 ct.)
- 1 lb. ground breakfast sausage
- 2 packs of country gravy mix
- 1 can of evaporated milk
- 12 large eggs
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Reduce heat and sprinkle gravy mix over the sausage. Add 1 cup of evaporated milk and 1 cup of water. Mix well and sauté until thickened.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and the remaining evaporated milk, adding salt and pepper to taste.
- Scramble the eggs in a skillet until just set but slightly soft.
- Layer one-third of the sausage mixture in a greased 9×13 baking dish. Top with half of the scrambled eggs.
- Add another layer of sausage and gravy followed by the remaining scrambled eggs, and top with the rest of the gravy.
- Arrange biscuits on top to cover the dish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best results and don’t overcook the eggs to keep them fluffy.
