Description

A delightful breakfast casserole that combines fluffy biscuits, savory sausage, and creamy gravy, perfect for feeding a crowd or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1 tube of refrigerated biscuits (8 ct.)
  • 1 lb. ground breakfast sausage
  • 2 packs of country gravy mix
  • 1 can of evaporated milk
  • 12 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  3. Reduce heat and sprinkle gravy mix over the sausage. Add 1 cup of evaporated milk and 1 cup of water. Mix well and sauté until thickened.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and the remaining evaporated milk, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Scramble the eggs in a skillet until just set but slightly soft.
  6. Layer one-third of the sausage mixture in a greased 9×13 baking dish. Top with half of the scrambled eggs.
  7. Add another layer of sausage and gravy followed by the remaining scrambled eggs, and top with the rest of the gravy.
  8. Arrange biscuits on top to cover the dish.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best results and don’t overcook the eggs to keep them fluffy.
