A classic meatloaf recipe that combines juicy beef with spices for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Optional: additional ketchup for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, diced onions, minced garlic, eggs, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Mix everything together until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
- If desired, spread a layer of ketchup on top for added flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes, vegetables, or use leftovers for sandwiches. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
