Description

A classic meatloaf recipe that combines juicy beef with spices for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Optional: additional ketchup for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, diced onions, minced garlic, eggs, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Mix everything together until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish or on a lined baking sheet.
  5. If desired, spread a layer of ketchup on top for added flavor.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, vegetables, or use leftovers for sandwiches. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
