Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the grill for direct cooking at high heat (approximately 450°F) and clean the cooking grates.
- Drizzle olive oil over the chicken breasts and season with kosher salt and black pepper.
- Place the chicken directly onto the hot grill and cover, cooking for 5-6 minutes.
- Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes.
- Baste with BBQ sauce, flip again, and cook for 2 more minutes on each side until cooked through (160°F internal temperature).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F for oven method.
- Drizzle chicken with olive oil and season, then place on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, brush with BBQ sauce, and continue for another 5-8 minutes until bubbling and 160°F internal temperature is reached.
