A classic Beef Roast recipe that offers rich flavors and tender meat, perfect for family meals and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 kilograms beef
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 fresh lemons, juiced
- 3 medium potatoes
- 1 can liver spread
- 3 star anise
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 tablespoons margarine
- 60g grated cheese
- 2 bell peppers
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 large onion
- 1 beef cube
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- Ground black pepper
Instructions
- Marinate the beef with lemon juice, soy sauce, and ground black pepper. Let it sit for about one hour.
- Peel and cut the potatoes into wedges and fry them until golden brown.
- In a pan, heat margarine and sauté minced garlic until golden, then add onion and bell peppers until soft.
- Add bay leaves and tomato paste, sauté for two minutes, then brown the marinated beef.
- Mix in the liver spread, tomato sauce, and reserved marinade. Sauté for another five minutes.
- Pour in water and add beef cube, cooking until the beef is tender.
- Add star anise and brown sugar, cooking until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the Beef Roast with fried potatoes and your choice of rice.

Use quality cuts of beef for the best flavor and tenderness. Allow the beef to marinate longer for enhanced flavor.
