Ingredients
- 2.5 lbs Chicken Thighs (Boneless Skinless)
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
- 3 tbsp Avocado Oil
- 1 cup Homemade Southern BBQ Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
- Mix the brown sugar, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, and avocado oil to create a marinade.
- Rub the marinade generously over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated.
- Place the marinated chicken on the grill, skin-side down (if applicable). Close the grill lid and cook for 6-8 minutes.
- Flip the chicken thighs and continue cooking for another 6-8 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Brush the chicken with your BBQ sauce during the last few minutes of grilling.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F for the baking method.
- Mix together the brown sugar, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, and avocado oil in a bowl.
- Coat the chicken thighs with the marinade.
- Place the chicken thighs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake them in the oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Brush the BBQ sauce over the chicken in the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
