Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 3-4 pieces)
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
- Red pepper flakes for heat (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, orange juice, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken to the marinade and let it soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken until golden brown on all sides (about 6-8 minutes).
- Pour in the remaining marinade along with the cornstarch mixture. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens (about 3-5 minutes).
- Garnish with sliced green onions and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
Marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes for better flavor, and add extra red pepper flakes for heat if desired.
