Delicious wraps filled with tender chicken, crunchy vegetables, and a flavorful dressing, all wrapped in a soft tortilla.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 3 cups shredded cabbage (green or Napa)
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 4 large flour or whole wheat tortillas
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 3 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, julienned carrot, sliced green onions, and chopped cilantro. Mix well for about 5 minutes.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic to make the dressing. This should take about 2 minutes.
- Drizzle the dressing over the slaw and toss until everything is evenly coated, which should take another 2 minutes.
- For assembly, place a portion of the shredded chicken on each tortilla (about 1 minute).
- Top the chicken with the dressed slaw and sprinkle with sesame seeds (another minute).
- Roll the tortillas tightly, starting at one end and rolling towards the other until fully wrapped. Serve immediately (this will take about a minute).
Notes
Use fresh vegetables for the best flavor. Consider using whole grain tortillas or rice paper wraps for a gluten-free option.
