Description

Delicious wraps filled with tender chicken, crunchy vegetables, and a flavorful dressing, all wrapped in a soft tortilla.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage (green or Napa)
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 large flour or whole wheat tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 3 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, julienned carrot, sliced green onions, and chopped cilantro. Mix well for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and minced garlic to make the dressing. This should take about 2 minutes.
  3. Drizzle the dressing over the slaw and toss until everything is evenly coated, which should take another 2 minutes.
  4. For assembly, place a portion of the shredded chicken on each tortilla (about 1 minute).
  5. Top the chicken with the dressed slaw and sprinkle with sesame seeds (another minute).
  6. Roll the tortillas tightly, starting at one end and rolling towards the other until fully wrapped. Serve immediately (this will take about a minute).

Notes

Use fresh vegetables for the best flavor. Consider using whole grain tortillas or rice paper wraps for a gluten-free option.
