Description

A bright and sweet homemade apricot jam that captures the essence of fresh apricots with a touch of lemon juice.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh apricots, chopped
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Wash and chop the apricots, removing the pits.
  2. Combine the chopped apricots, sugar, and lemon juice in a pot.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture boils.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20-30 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  5. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, seal, and let cool. Store in the refrigerator.

Notes

Use ripe but firm apricots for the best results. The jam can also be frozen for longer storage.
