Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, eggs, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard to make the glaze.
- Spread the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a healthier version, consider using ground turkey or chicken and adding vegetables like chopped spinach or grated carrots.
