Description

Delicious and healthy protein-packed bagels made in the air fryer, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons cottage cheese (2% or 4%)
  • 1 egg (optional)
  • Toppings: everything seasoning, poppy seeds, sesame seeds


Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Make a well in the center and add the cottage cheese. Mix until a chunky dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 sections and roll each into a log, connecting the ends to form bagels.
  5. Whisk the egg in a separate bowl and brush it over the bagels, adding toppings as desired.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F. Spray or line the basket with cooking spray or parchment paper.
  7. Place the bagels in the air fryer basket and cook for 15-17 minutes until golden, checking around 10 minutes for doneness.
  8. Once done, let them cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For variations, mix in different toppings or spices. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
