Hi there! I’m Jeffrey Lucy, a 45-year-old mom of three living just outside of Nashville, Tennessee. If you’re juggling lunchboxes, soccer practice, late work meetings, and still trying to figure out what’s for dinner, trust me, I get it. My kitchen has seen it all: burnt casseroles, pancake batter on the ceiling, and yes, those magical nights when everything comes together and the whole family asks for seconds.
I didn’t go to culinary school, and you won’t see me on a cooking competition show anytime soon. My real training happened right in my own kitchen, with a baby on one hip and a toddler tugging at my leg. I started out making meals out of sheer necessity, something quick, something edible, something the kids might actually eat. But over the years, cooking became more than just a chore. It became my therapy, my creative outlet, and honestly, a way I show love.
I believe cooking doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. Some of the best meals I’ve made came from the simplest ingredients, like my grandma’s chicken noodle soup or my husband’s favorite sheet pan fajitas. I mess up all the time. I once added salt instead of sugar to banana bread and tried to convince my kids it was a new recipe called “Savory Loaf.” Spoiler alert: they weren’t fooled. But every flop is part of the journey.

What I love most is helping other busy folks, especially moms, feel confident in the kitchen. You don’t need fancy gadgets or a gourmet pantry. If you’ve got a spatula, a skillet, and a willingness to laugh at your own mistakes, you’re already ahead of the game. I share my go-to weeknight recipes, shortcuts that actually work, and little tricks to make cooking feel less like a hassle and more like a win.
So if you’re just getting started or you’re simply trying to get dinner on the table without losing your mind, I’m right there with you. Let’s make something delicious together, and maybe have a little fun while we’re at it.
