A quick and nutritious breakfast option made with rolled oats, chia seeds, and cinnamon, perfect for busy mornings.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats (certified gluten-free if needed)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1.5 tbsp maple syrup (grade A amber preferred)
- 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium bowl or jar, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the milk over the dry ingredients and stir well to combine. Ensure all the oats are fully submerged in the liquid.
- Cover the bowl or jar and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4–6 hours.
- In the morning, stir the oats well before serving. Add a splash more milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.
- Top with your favorite fruits, nuts, or additional maple syrup if desired.
Notes
Overnight oats can be customized with various toppings like fruits, nuts, or different milks. They can also be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
